I Would Marry a Poetess

Adanu Michaels was born on 2nd November 1997, the fourth of six blessings to Mr. and Mrs. Adanu. He was brought up in the rural community of Ogobia-ugboju district of Oturpko Local Government area of Benue State, Nigeria. He had his primary and secondary education in missionary schools (St Beneditte Nursery and primary school and St. Mary's college) owned by the Vincentian Fathers of the Roman Catholic church in Ogobia-ugboju. Later, he proceeded for an advanced level study (IJMB) in Kwara state and now studying mass communication at the National Open university of Nigeria.

Adanu Michaels popularly known as Fantasy, grew up with lots of mixed development and experiences which contributed to the majority of his poems concentrating on the theme "Lamentations" he also write on; Nature, Culture, Dirge, Birthdays, fantasies, love, and more, trying to blend both ancient and modern poetry to bring out the beautiful nature of literature, ranging from the beauty of African cultures and traditions to love, Romance as well as fantasies. He became fearlessly intentional about writing under the tutelage of Author Tamikio L. Dooley who guided him through his first publication "Trumpet of Rhapsody" with Ukiyoto Publishing House.  Tamiko L. Dooley had since then been an amazing mentor, grooming him through a series of anthologies and featuring his first-ever short stories on "Apocalypse Destruction" published December 2021.

Adanu Michaels, being a poet at heart, envisages a world where the young have the power to make an unwavering change. Therefore, he created Mental Blinkers on 14th November 2021 with the primary motive of identifying, uniting, and encouraging a new and young generation of African writers. The wonderful poet felt it is high time; we changed the African literature to tell stories of what we have now and not what existed only in the past. Also, to reveal to the globe that in these young writers, is a rebirth of literary icons such as Wole Soyinka, Williams Shakespeare, and Alexander Pope.

In his leisure time, he either sees movies or plays handball.
